The Commission Process
Size
The first thing is to decide the best size panel for your custom project. If you are unsure about the perfect size for your space, I’m happy to help you decide!
Inspiration
It can help for me to see your space, either through photos or in person (if local), to get a feel for the surrounding atmosphere (wall color, fabric swatches, light, overall mood, etc.)
I appreciate any inspiration you can provide - what particular paintings of mine you favor, Pinterest boards, color palettes, etc. The more insight, the better!
Color swatch
I start with providing color swatches on small panels, to give you an idea of what I have in mind and make sure we are on the same page. Once I have your approval, the painting begins. At this point, I typically allow for 4-6 weeks to complete each piece but I will keep you updated throughout my process.
Pricing
My prices for commissioned pieces depend on size and cost about 10% more than ready-to-purchase paintings. This is to account for the time spent with you planning and creating a customized piece that is perfect for your space. I ask for a 30% deposit to begin, with the remaining balance due once your painting is complete.
